WPL forgiving library fines

Windsor Public Library is giving patrons the chance to start the new year off with a clean slate.

From January 3 through January 31 all library fines will be forgiven with the donation of a canned good.

"We want customers to return overdue materials and we want to welcome back customers who may be apprehensive to visit because of fines owing on their accounts. Come on in with your materials, talk to us and we’ll do everything we can to re-activate your account," said WPL CEO Kitty Pope. "For the price of a canned good, fines will be pardoned and new library cards issued. Food banks will benefit and you’ll be able to enjoy the many services we offer."

Customers with fines on their accounts, but with no lost materials, can contact WPL to arrange for the fines to be waived and their accounts unblocked.  Customers with lost or damaged materials are also encouraged to contact the library to discuss the materials.

Call the library at 519.255.6770 or email us at customerservice@windsorpubliclibrary.com with the details about your situation and staff will work to resolve the issue.

Late materials and canned goods can be brought to any library branch.
