Windsor residents should feel safe from gun violence

Windsor police say residents should continue to feel safe in the city after five people were shot in the city's east end Saturday.

Police have made five arrests after the incident at Superbowl Lanes. All victims were treated and have been released from the hospital.

Superintendent Jason Crowley said though gun-related incidents have increased slightly over the last five years people should continue to feel safe in the city of Windsor.

"There is no concern for the community, typically I would certainly take my family to these kinds of places. This is not something we're generally worried about as a society but, that being said it could happen anywhere at any time," said Crowley.

One suspect involved in Saturday's shooting is still at large.

He is described as a Hispanic man between 5' 2" and 5' 5" and weighing around 150 pounds. He was wearing a grey hoodie, brown coat, and a blue Los Angeles Dodgers cap at the time of the incident. Investigators say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
