While you're still stuffed after Thanksgiving dinner, the City of Windsor is looking ahead to the holiday season and its annual Bright Lights Windsor display in Jackson Park.
Preparations start Tuesday in the park. City crews start fencing off the north end along Tecumseh Road East. The service road north of the Queen Elizabeth II Sunken Gardens is closed, but all other areas of the park and the pathways are open.
That's just the first phase of preparations. Crews will set up the holiday displays in phases again this year.
Last year, over 100,000 people enjoyed the displays, and holiday entertainment, and shopped at local vendors during Bright Lights Windsor.
Bright Lights Windsor 2024 starts on November 29 and ends on January 7.
