Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has cited a truck driver and their company after a truck lost its load on Monday morning.
Officers from the Tecumseh detachment were summoned to the roundabout at County Road 42 and Banwell Road at approximately 8:15 a.m.
When they arrived, they found glass all over the pavement from a commercial truck.
The driver, a 53-year-old from Windsor, was unharmed.
An inspector from the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team checked out the vehicle and its required documentation.
The driver and the trucking company he works for face charges of having an insecure load, driving a vehicle without plate validation, and failing to complete a daily inspection report.
Additional charges included failing to ensure the meeting of performance standards, failure to surrender the CVOR certificate, and having a plate that is not entirely visible.
