ENCORE ticket turns Windsor man's $1 into $1-million

A Windsor man said "yes" to ENCORE and got an incredible return on his investment of $1, $1-million.

Brandon Stewart is a Transit Windsor bus driver who has played LOTTO 6/49 with ENCORE twice weekly for the past two years. It paid off in the April 5 draw.

"It was morning when I read an email saying I had a prize to claim," said Stewart. "I quickly went online to do some fact-finding. When I saw the six zeros in the prize amount, I was surprisingly calm. I shared the news with my close friends and family, and to be honest, they were more excited than I was."

He purchased his ticket through the OLG app.

"I think I got a decent return on my investment," said Stewart with a smile. "Winning feels good. It's a nice boost that will allow me to invest for an early retirement and share with my family and friends."
