High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Windsor Police have charged another new driver with stunt driving, the third stunt driving charge in three days.Officers clocked a vehicle going 96 km/h on Wyandotte Street East Friday morning. The speed limit is 50 km/h.The Windsor Police Traffic Enforcement Unit says it's sharing details about the incidents to raise awareness about the potential dangers of excessive speed and stunts on city roads.A 17-year-old driver with a G2 license was not only charged but also lost their license for 30 days. Police say the vehicle will stay in an impound lot for two weeks. Police charged another G2 licensed driver on Tuesday. Police stopped a vehicle travelling at 130 km/h near Ouellette Avenue and Eugenie Street, where the speed limit is 60 km/h.
