Windsor Police plead with drivers to slow down

Windsor Police have charged another new driver with stunt driving, the third stunt driving charge in three days.

Officers clocked a vehicle going 96 km/h on Wyandotte Street East Friday morning. The speed limit is 50 km/h.

The Windsor Police Traffic Enforcement Unit says it's sharing details about the incidents to raise awareness about the potential dangers of excessive speed and stunts on city roads.

A 17-year-old driver with a G2 license was not only charged but also lost their license for 30 days. Police say the vehicle will stay in an impound lot for two weeks.

Police charged another G2 licensed driver on Tuesday. Police stopped a vehicle travelling at 130 km/h near Ouellette Avenue and Eugenie Street, where the speed limit is 60 km/h.
