Police investigate after two pedestrians hit by a vehicle in Windsor

Windsor Police is looking for witnesses after a vehicle struck two pedestrians in the city's east end on Thursday.

Just before 4:30 p.m., a vehicle was northbound on Princess Avenue and tried to turn onto Tecumseh Road East. At the same time, two women were crossing Tecumseh at the crosswalk.

Paramedics rushed the two to the hospital, and the intersection was closed for several hours while police investigated.

Initially, paramedics believed one woman suffered life-threatening injuries, but police said those injuries were deemed less serious by doctors at the hospital. The second pedestrian was also hurt.

The driver stayed at the scene.
