Habitat for Humanity continues to fight housing crisis

Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex has renovated and resold yet another home.

Saturday Morning, the charity hosted a Key Ceremony at the Bruce Avenue home.

The event focused on the new owners' journey to homeownership, as well as recognizing all the people who made the project possible.

The home, built in 2005, is a symbol of community, compassion, and the power of volunteerism, as it continues to reflect Habitat’s mission to help local families build better futures through affordable homeownership.

“This home represents what Habitat for Humanity is all about,” said the Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex Board Chair, Justin Fox. “It’s not just a house built 20 years ago, it's a home that has now supported three families in building stability and independence. Each family’s story becomes part of this home’s history, and that continuity is what makes this moment so special.”

The charity has renovated over 150 homes in Windsor-Essex County as an effort to help address the ongoing housing crisis.
