Search for missing man's remains moves to northern Ontario

The Ontario Provincial Police say they've found human remains that could be connected to the disappearance of a Windsor man in August.

The remains were found on Friday in Black River-Matheson Township, east of Timmins.

Members of the OPP North East Region Crime Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team, the OPP Forensic Identification Services, and the OPP canine unit found the remains while searching an area near Bourkes Road.

The search was led by the OPP Criminal Investigations Branch in support of the investigation into the murder of David Pavao.

Pavao and a woman disappeared in August. The woman was found soon after, but Pavao is still missing. Police believe he was killed on, or around August 14.

Last Thursday, Windsor Police charged two people in the murder, 54-year-old Shane Ladouceur with first-degree murder and 49-year-old Marie Christine Hannah with being an accessory after the fact to murder and indecent interference with a deceased body.

On Friday, police also announced they were looking for a third suspect. The man, described as white, in his late 20s, 5'10", with a flower or rose tattoo on the back of his hand, is only known as "Colin." Police say he's known to frequent locations in west Windsor and downtown.

The investigation is ongoing, and Windsor Police ask anyone with information to call the Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830, Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477, or go to www.catchcrooks.com.
