Brett Hope has been named the new head coach of the Chatham Maroons.
Hope previously served as an assistant coach with the Maroons before taking over as head coach of the Komoka Kings last April. Both teams compete in the Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL).
The Maroons announced Hope's appointment following the departure of Brennan Feasey. He stepped down earlier this month after accepting an assistant coaching position with the Owen Sound Attack in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
General manager Richard Santos had been serving as interim head coach following Feasey's departure.
The Maroons say Hope brings valuable experience, strong leadership and a commitment to player development and the Chatham-Kent community.
The organization says it’s excited to welcome him back as it pursues another Sutherland Cup.
The team also thanked the Komoka Kings organization for its professionalism and cooperation throughout the process.
