Golden K supports BGC summer camp program

BGC Sarnia-Lambton, formerly the Boys and Girls Club, has received a $4,000 donation to support its Summer Day Camp program.

The Kiwanis Club of Sarnia-Lambton Golden K recently gifted the donation. Funds were raised by volunteering through the Jackpot Time Sarnia Bingo program.

"This program is run through the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association and allows a portion of the money raised at Jackpot Time to be donated to the charities and non-profit organizations that volunteer at the facility," read a media release.

BGC thanked Golden K members for the donation over social media.

"Without the generous support of donors like yourselves, what we do would not be possible," read a Facebook post. "This allows us to keep our costs low, barrier free, and allow for the [best] time for the kids during [camp]!"

The non-profit organization said it supports 120 children per day through its three summer camp locations.
