The former Plympton-Wyoming mayor was recognized for his years of service and passion for the centre during a surprise unveiling ceremony on Tuesday, October 1.

The main hall at the Camlachie Road facility will now formally be known as 'Napper Hall'.

“As a tribute to a man who has given so much of his life and time to his community, and to recognize the time that he has spent at this facility, it is my pleasure to announce and proclaim, that from this date forward this hall will now be called - Napper Hall,” said Mayor Gary Atkinson during his speech.
