Irish Miracle Lives Up To Its Name

This year's Irish Miracle food drive hit a new mark.

Over 8,500 bags of food were collected by St. Patrick's High School students across Sarnia-Pt. Edward Saturday.

The total is some one thousand bags more than last year.

School Chaplain Joseph Palko says a record student turnout of over 400 allowed them to knock on every door.

Palko says despite some concern about not having enough drivers, they were flooded by volunteers Saturday morning.

The donations help fill hampers to be distributed by the St. Vincent de Paul Society to those in need this holiday season.
