Book tells stories of 365 Canadian women, including 14 from Sarnia

A new book is being released this International Women's Day that features the stories of 365 Canadian women, including 14 from Sarnia.

Co-publisher Jennifer Angers Daerendinger, who owns ROAM Gallery at 265 College St. N in Sarnia, said "pursuit: 365" features women of all ages, backgrounds, life stages and interests.

"This book was written for 365 Canadian women, in 365 of their own words, to celebrate women and to offer hope and inspiration," said Angers Daerendinger.

She was pleased to include the personal journeys of over a dozen local women.

"We have Julia Oosterman, who is our communication chief for Bluewater Health. I had to convince Katie Fuller to join. Katie is the owner of The Fox and Hound Canine Retreat, which I think is hands down the best doggie retreat in Canada. We have women from all walks of life, so I asked Dawn Williams to be part of this. Dawn is an engineer and she runs two of the units out at NOVA and she's just a lovely, amazing woman."

Angers Daerendinger said some of Canada's most extraordinary women also participated.

"We do have some celebrities in the book like Jann Arden and Bif Naked, but I think during COVID, what we all found is that real women are every bit as important, and you see more and more news about just everyday women, doing everyday things and celebrating them."

Angers Daerendinger said you can find it online Monday, March 8.

"It will be available one day on Amazon for the price of $21 dollars, so we want everyone to go in there and buy it. It will also be launching on April 1 at selected Indigo and Chapters across Canada and you can also order, on demand, on Amazon after that."

Other local women featured in the book include; UE Inc. Owner Amy Spadafora, Dog Eat Dog Co-owner Chrissy McRoberts, Aaron Drury Law Assistant Kim Drury, photographer Cheryl Hughes, realtor Beverley Boone, teacher Nicola Arndt, Tracy Donald of Seint Makeup, lawyer Chelsea Cooper, marketing specialist Charlene Scott and author Jenny Gough.
