Driver charged in single vehicle crash

A Sarnia driver has been charged in a crash Monday that damaged a hydro pole.

Lambton OPP, along with the St. Clair Township Fire Department and Lambton EMS, responded to a single vehicle collision at Petrolia Line and Plank Road shortly after 11 a.m.

Police said the vehicle was headed west on Petrolia Line when it left the road and hit a hydro pole. The driver, and lone occupant, was not hurt.

A section of the intersection was closed for about seven hours while Hydro One crews made the necessary repairs.

A 64-year-old is charged with careless driving.
